Open source media

The Viewer's Strike of 2008 is a pretty great idea. Throw in a transparent mesh network layer built around 802.11 or the public broadcast bands and there'd be no way the legacy system could reimpose its will on the people.

Yeah, that is a good idea. The days of the TV networks are probably going the way of the old studio systems of Hollywood in the early-mid 20th century. The writer's strike has really had 0 effect on me since I don't watch much of that kind of TV.
