Some good reading

Charles Krauthammer is an excellent writer and makes some very thoughtful and significant points in this piece about who's to blame for the chaos in Iraq.

He makes a very good point, and I think that the biggest critics of Bush and the Iraq war tend to forget that while Saddam was in control things were forcibly more "peaceful"-looking from the outside. Maybe we just had no idea of the depth of suppressed hostility among the different groups. And now, like a volcano, it will erupt until its potential energy has been exhausted. Well, maybe that's a bad comparison. I don't know. But I do agree with that article.
